Adapt or die
The old British belief in institutions that sustained the Church of England has been in decline since World War I. Worse, belief in god was never strong in the first place. Church attendance has been steadily dropping. Only a mostly rural minority believe the C of E is relevant for anything. The C of E becomes a bunch of social workers or they become just a quaint anachronism used in royal ceremonies.
But we must kill them. We must incinerate them. Pig after pig, cow after cow, village after village, army after army. And they call me an assassin. What do you call it when the assassins accuse the assassin? They lie. They lie and we must be merciful to those who lie.
