Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. (Brocade\ufffd) (Nasdaq: BRCD - News), the world's leading provider of infrastructure solutions for Storage Area Networks (SANs), announced today a workforce reduction of 115 employees, or approximately 9 percent, which was completed today. Following the workforce reduction, the company's workforce worldwide will be approximately 1200 employees. Brocade has taken this action as part of its plan to better align and optimize its business model, as described during the company's annual analyst day last week, during which the company also reiterated its financial outlook for the second quarter of fiscal 2003 (Q2 03).
