Welcome to IWETHEY!

New According to...
Webalizer... [link|http://www.iwethey.org/zlogs/usage_200304.html|For April 2003] we had a pretty good spike in visits yesterday.

It gave:
Day \tHits \tFiles \tPages \tVisits \tSites \tKBytes\n13 \t16996 \t13173 \t10135 \t1800 \t1638 \t205363
Traffic/Bandwidth was about a "Monday or Friday" :)

That was a "Sunday" Slashdot effect! 1800 Visits was ~ 4 times normal, 1638 Sites was about 8 times normal.

Grygus... how'd your machine hold up?

New Well . . .
. . since I outsource it to a hosting service with big pipes, pretty well. Peak day was 247,382 hits and 6.3 Gigabytes of traffic, including 31,707 requests for the edit029.html article.

There have been 202,030 request for the article so far, as of 6:00am today.

I didn't get any complaints about accessability, but did get a few gripes that my Web Site was hosted on IIS, inconsistent with my viewpoint. It used to be on Unix, but apparently got moved during one of the many mergers and acquisitions the hosting service has been through. Odd that they'd put it on Windows, which usually costs more, but maybe they ended up with more Windows servers than they had customers for.

New Mmmm... Goody...
So... I guess it's a good thing I use Apache-with Reverse Proxy and Rewrite.

Looks good so far... seeing higher than normal access... but nothing extra-ordinary.

More as of 7:22AM EST (I change Webalizer to coincide with other system chores going on around that time.)...

System Maintenance at 7:30AM EST as it seems to be the slowest time period for everything.

Thx fer the info Grygus.

Stands at: 3037

The access log for *Z* is 1/3 the size it was for last week period 3.2MB vs 13.1MB

Not been bad... now iffn it had been on the Top of Front Page of /. ~Noon EDT or ~8PM EDT on a weekday... we'd prolly have seen much more traffic.

Too bad Karsten you didna get to test it as well as you'da wanted... none of the DDoS that /. can be sometimes.

Looks like TWIKI got some traffic too... :)
