DOS Boot floppies -- sources?

I've got a BIOS flash update that requires a DOS boot floppy...of which mine all appear to have wandered.

I'm looking for a suitable (preferably free as in speech) source. DrDOS / FreeDOS appears to be a seven disk set, haven't investigated whether it supports bootable disk yet. Grabbed the dosemu-freedos package, and ran format a: /s which appeared to work, but gave a panic (can DOS panic, or does it just wet itself) when I attempted to boot it.

Anyone got a good source for DOS bootable disks, or instructions on making same from Debian (unstable), Knoppix, or Win2K?

Through 9.x

the "make boot floppy" option in Add/Remove Programs; there's a tab.

W2K sounds like red herring - for your purpose, no? Who cares if it usually runs W2K (and has no 'DOS') if you only need to flash BIOS. 'Course if no available machine has <W2K on it.. (Like even at the drugstore? ;-)

Then of course - Scott's link has prolly already gotten you an image.

Win2K has...

...no "create a system floppy" capabilities.

\r\n\r\n

There's no option in the GUI "format floppy" dialog.

\r\n\r\n

The '/s' switch is invalid for the format a: command.

You have to...

Install a "DOS" for W2K to use. Like WXP uses WinME.
