I am not against a small missle defense. The Chinese will eventually realize that it is only for lite attacks and will probably spend more on decoys than on yet more raw nukes, unlike what the article implies.

HOWEVER, The technology is very shakey right now. I think it should be well-tested and shown to actually *work* before we break the ABM treaty. There is evidence that the test results may have been fudged by the same group that LIED about the Patriot system. Those people should be court-marshalled IMO.
