The French Revolution. etc. so what did they do to you to let them live that way? Other people in other nations (most of the Democracies in the world) have taken it upon THEMSELVES to overthrow the oppressive governments ruling them and establish their own version of Democracy. They haven't done anything to me. It is not MY responsibility to Free them. It is also not within my ability to Free them. THEY are the only ones who can do that. If THEY do not achieve THEIR Freedom for THEMSELVES, then they will still be what they are today. A totalitarian regime with the trappings of Democracy.

His insistance that only Iraqi's may help Iraqi's and leaving sadaam in charge of them is well known as I sought to point out that no political revolution or advance is done in a vacuum without outside assistance. Now you and I can disagree on the nature of the beast that involved us in Iraq, it remains that the Iraqi people will have a short respite from their heavily abused lives and can hope that thy will prefer the respite to the boot on their neck. If Only the blacks thought segregation was wrong they still would be held down. White, black, whatever. They were US citizens. No other nation came in and TOLD us to allow blacks to vote.
