Looks like it is time for another SMACKDOWN!
boxley's ORIGINAL reference for an EU military force.
[link|http://z.iwethey.org/forums/render/content/show?contentid=88085|my you are a snotty little piece of used kotex today]
Which has a link that references for SFOR 1998, you'll find this quote:
The EUROCORPS experienced its first real operation when the soldiers of the Staff and the Headquarters Support Battalion were deployed to Sarajevo in 1998. On February 27, 1998, the five member states decided to make a contingent of 150 soldiers from the EUROCORPS available for the Headquarters of the NATO Stabilisation Force in Bosnia-Herzegovina (SFOR) for 18 months in three successive rotations.
Now, compare that statement with the statement from boxley's CURRENT claim.
The fledgling European Force began its first military operation yesterday, taking over peacekeeping in the Balkan state of Macedonia as a trial run for future missions in Bosnia, Africa and the Caucasus.
Hmmm, how strange that their FIRST MISSION could be in 1998 when their FIRST MISSION was in 2003.
Unless they are TWO DIFFERENT OUTFITS?
Hmmmmmmmm...........
