New Civi GPS or Military GPS?
The $500 jammers may only work on civi GPS. The military has a different system (from what I understand). At least that was my understanding of commercial GPS when it came out in the mid-1990's.

I would expect that the military system might be encypted, more accurate, and more difficult to "jam".

New The physics are the same.
But that is the same question that I'm asking. Are these GPS jammers expensive military equipment or are they the type that you find at the typical consumer "spy" store. Being as they're handheld, I have my doubts about whether we are talking about devices in the cost ranges of 6 or 7 figures. More likely they are in the range of 4 or 5 figures. And based on that shear conjecture, I question the true value of having spent millions to destroy six handheld jammers.

Yes they are proscribed devices under the embargo. But it's like trying to stop laptops from entering the border - same price range on this side - probably able to command a high premium on that side of the border - hence 99% pure profit for the entreprenoir willing to take the risk.
New Not the point
They weren't targeted because they were prohibited. They were targeted because they would make future attacks harder and less reliable. It doesn't really matter what their monetary cost.

New For less than the $700B the Repos want for the 1%
We could just buy Iraq. Muricans generally think that Everything has a price tag - well, real estate's always a good gamble; says so on the Tee Vee.
