In Star Wars Episode 4, A New Hope, Imperial Stormtroopers we are told are very percise by Obi Won Kenobi, yet on the Death Star they couldn't hit a side of a barn at 10 paces. What's up with that? They even have combat armor with computer tracking to help them. Iraqis are not EWoks, the Iraqis are surrendering, and many are being forced into the miltary by having their families threatened. Infantry columns with ray guns instead of rifles. In a futuristic interstellar conflict. (Oh well. At least the politics were somewhat plausible.) I'm sorry, but that's just plain sloppy writing. Shame on Mr. Lucas. It's almost as bad as that silent running bit in that Star Trek episode with the Romulans. You know the one where they have a WWII submarine battle, but in outer space, and with starships. I hear the next Star Wars movie will take place on planet Brandioch. It'll have platoons of suicide bombers with VX canisters in a classic British square formation. The future is leaving the station, the US is at the throttle, and the Left isn't on board. No oil for TotalFinaElf! CHICKENHAWK! Scourge of clucking hens everywhere! Victory is the answer. There are no alternatives. It'll have platoons of suicide bombers with VX canisters in a classic British square formation. You were the one claiming that Saddam had nukes/would have nukes by Christmas. Then it was his chem/bio weapons. Don't forget his ties to al Queda. Yet NONE of that seems to have materialized in this war. No nukes. No VX rounds. No biological weapons. No suicide bombers attacking the US. Exactly as I have stated. It isn't happening because they don't exist.
