...I don't have anywhere NEAR the anxiety, worry, interest in the war, I did in 1991.
Dunno why...
Seems like I am able to deal with this better... this time.
Well, I am less worried about the war itself this time around, because I know fewer people who are over there. In 1991, I knew 8 people, and some were really close. In fact, one just barely escaped the barracks of the Beirut Bombing (I think that happened then, right?)
However, I've developed the anxiousness I had after 9/11 where every time I heard a plane I jumped. Mostly because for the last two days, the military jets have been whizzing over my house again... and if you have not heard one of those babies fly over your house... well.. you don't know what a startling sound it can be.
Anyway, I was determined not to be as jumpy and nervous as I was after 9/11 but the planes are making it VERRRRRRY difficult. I wish I KNEW that they were just flying patrols around the airport like before, but my guess is they are being deployed. Since Boeing (formerly McDonnell Douglas) is also right to my south, well..... not hard to guess.
I'm not AS panicked, but I'm not great, either.
