It's about CONTROL of the oil. Not buying it. #3. Check out Afghanistan. #4. There is no "Arab street". #5. No, he's doing it for CONTROL of the oil. Dad is a nice bonus. #6. That's the same thinking that has led to multi-generational warfare in other nations. #7. Ah, the dreaded "he MIGHT, sometime in the future, maybe, do something he hasn't done before, but he MIGHT" argument. #8. The US doesn't need allies to beat Iraq. But it needs allies there in order to maintain it. #9. Not one of his neighbors is afraid of him right now. I don't see him being the new "strong man". #10. Only in CONTROL of the oil. He couldn't care less about things like the Ivory Coast.

US has been leaning heavily against Israeli reprisals trying to keep the "street" quiet.
