New I know scsi is small computer serial interface
I forget what ATA and IDE refer to. I suspect the difference is in signal handling accross the bus in a chain. I know that the difference between a scsi at $200 and an IDE at $160 as described in the article would not be enough of a difference for me to buy an IDE for a server. SCSI I have found over the years to be less problematic. (once you set them up correctly.)
thanx,

New Well, SCSI is . .
Small Computer System Interface (not serial). IDE is Integrated Drive Electronics, ATA is AT Attachment.
