Especially when you consider the 9th amendment: The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people. When they declared indepence, they didn't do so for ALL of the people governed by England, just those over here. Not very different from just a state seceding. Montreal used to be the Financial center of canada until the french majority started enacting laws that all at once tried to remediate past wrongs with a vengeful attitude. Business stopped in its tracks and moved to NYC and tranna.
