Remove diplomatic priviliges for all UN attaches, only those acredited to embassies in the US to retain them and the actual designated UN principals, no staff. Enforce all laws that are currently broken by these people. Tow their cars. Arrest them for speeding, make their lives as miserable as they would have it in their home countries. Any major offences deport their ass. It's gonna be hard to take away diplomatic privilege and keep up the pretense of diplomatic relations at the same time. I don't like backstabbing. That's stooping to their level. I'd rather we stab them in the front. Repeatedly, and with gusto. If we pull out of the UN, that neutralizes their power. The UN is nothing without our backing, and nothing good with. From then on, we treat them with open contempt. Say, can we legally evict them from that nice real estate on the East Side? Ahead of her time in many ways. In 1950, the present lay ahead. Most people saw personal jetpacks, vacations on the moon, and lunch in pill form. A few saw a titanic battle between civilization and nihilistic horror. In other words, a continuation of history as it had always been. Poor Francis Fukuyama. He really got carried away with himself. I'm gonna pick up That Hideous Strength again. I think it might be worth finishing. Right after I finish this book on the Scottish enlightenment. So much better than the French version. No, I'm not giving the Bhagavad Gita another shot anytime soon. Too many of the people who take one seriously are themselves utterly silly. And - more to the point - too few of them are otherwise.
