Belgium has a real problem with their own monsters
perhaps they should clean themseves up before attempting to solve the rest of the worlds problems. [link|http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost/A/JPArticle/ShowFull&cid=1045109973652|http://www.jpost.com...cid=1045109973652] In 1989, Marc Dutroux, a 32-year-old electrician from the Belgian city of Charleroi, was convicted and sentenced to 13 years in prison for the rape and torture of five young girls. In 1992, and against the wishes of his family, Dutroux was paroled as part of a general early release for sex offenders arranged by then-justice minister Melchior Wathelet. Dutroux received a $2,700 per month government stipend on grounds he had suffered psychological damage in prison. Part of this money went to the purchase by Dutroux of six homes and several cars. In 1993, young girls began disappearing from areas where Dutroux lived. That same year, an informant told police that Dutroux had offered him between $3,000 and $5,000 to kidnap young girls. The tip was ignored. Neighbors of Dutroux complained to police of strange noises coming from his houses; police replied that Dutroux could do what he liked in his homes. Police were also informed that Dutroux was building dungeons in his cellar; two searches of his house failed to uncover them. thanx, bill

We already knew. This is hardly for the News section
The clean-up you call for was started in 1998 and was mostly finalized last year. The entire police apparatus was rebuilt from the bottom up. Only time can tell wether it was for the good...
Given the source you quoted, I take it this sudden regurgitation of stale information has something to do with the war crime charges against Sharon?

Dutroux received a $2,700 per month government stipend on grounds he had suffered psychological damage in prison. Hoo hoo ha ha... Now prison is supposed to be a >nice< place...if its not...it'll cost you. What'll they think of next.

Sven is right: WTF does this have to do with anything?
And your "this was the first time I saw it" excuse is utterly lame, too, Box: That way, you could post any shit from ancient history books as "news", just because *you* slept through history class, and stumbled over the Battle of Hastings only now.
(BTW, this *was* ALL OVER the *world* media in 1993, and again in ~1998; if you missed it then, you must have slept through your nightly TV news, too.)
And yes, the Jerusalem Post bringing it up now, as "news", is telling... But more so about the Jerusalem Post than about Belgium. Says something about *you*, too, this regurgitating of everything the JP wants regurgitated... :-(

Your lies are of Microsoftian Scale and boring to boot. Your 'depression' may be the closest you ever come to recognizing truth: you have no 'inferiority complex', you are inferior - and something inside you recognizes this. - [link|http://z.iwethey.org/forums/render/content/show?contentid=71575|Ashton Brown]
