If they where not incorrect then they where misleading to the point of being lies.
The critical factor is that outside Kuwait city, there was almost no signs of military presence in Kuwait. And even in and around Kuwait their was little signs of heavy military or significant build up.
From the photos they could pick out the tracks left by oil support vehicals, but no tank trails. This despite Pentagon claims that there where over 2000 tanks in Kuwait. They could clearly see signs of the American military buildup, but no signs of the supposed Iraqi military build up.
