New NBA All Star Game in HDTV on Time Warner Cable
My [link|http://www.hometheaterspot.com/htsthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB4&Number=357728&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1|sources] have revealed to me that Time Warner Cable will be providing an HDTV version of the NBA All Star Game next weekend. The standard broadcast will be shown on TNT.

Here in Houston it will be shown on the currently inactive channel 325. I found a [link|http://www.twcentralflorida.com/twc_and_you/news_room/pressreldetails.asp?NewsId=185|reference] that TWC Central Florida will show it on channel 1000. Didn't see anything about TWC locations, though I suspect they'll carry it as well if they offer HDTV programming.

New Yeah I know I'm biased against basketball...
...but I was underwhelmed watching it in HD. I also don't particularly like football especially American football but I found myself watching both College and NFL games since they simply looked better and took better advantage of the higher definition medium than basketball.

Sadly though we're still waiting for HDNET to be allowed up here in Canuckleland so we can see some HD hockey which does look fantastic in HD. The application is before the useless CRTC. Hopefully they won't take too long with their decision. :-(

I don't see how this has anything remotely to do with football.
