New Anna and the King
I have been a fan of Jodie Foster for years and think she is one of the best. Chow Yun Fat is also very good actor. Too bad they didn't have a script, story or plot worth a damn in this sorry excuse for a movie. It actually became painful to watch them trying to wrest something out of this hackneyed, predictable and cliched piece of tripe.

Gawd, what a disappointment. I am mad at myself for watching as much of it as I did. Can you give a movie a negative number of stars?

New An industry which would try to remake 'Sabrina'
without an Audrey Hepburn (there only ever could be One of those..) and 'colorize' er film noir..

Would also likely next: redo The Maltese Falcon, Treasure of the Sierra Madre - WITH steenkin badgers. So my only surprise is that: Jodie Foster would have gone along.. I too thought she had a mind.

Oh well..

After M$ escapes with nary a wrist slap, shall we see Waterworld redone as, Billysworld ? (After all, all of civilization is his amniotic sac, no?)
New From a Thai point of view
My wife told me that the actors in "Anna and the King" spoke Thai with accients. Usually Chinese accients she said. I guess they had to learn to speak Thai quickly?

Anyway it was a good movie to watch with her, worth a rental if you don't pay more than $3USD for it.

Picking up the pieces of my broken life.
