New Tora's Licence explained.
It's all down to the QT3 licence.

QT3 (the GUI toolkit that Tora uses) is dual licenced. On Linux, it's GPL and apps that use it must also be GPL.

On Windows, it's non-free, and costs an arm and a leg.

What the Tora people are doing are clawing back their development costs for the Windows version.

New GPL, you say - not LGPL?!?
Time to re-implement TOra in Delphi, then; the port should be fairly easy, since Delphi's/Kylix' CLX library is based on QT... But Delphi -- say, a full commercial developer's license of the Professional version -- does NOT cost quite "an arm and a leg".

Your lies are of Microsoftian Scale and boring to boot. Your 'depression' may be the closest you ever come to recognizing truth: you have no 'inferiority complex', you are inferior - and something inside you recognizes this. - [link|http://z.iwethey.org/forums/render/content/show?contentid=71575|Ashton Brown]
