New Another printer story
I get a new crappy printer every 9 months or
so.

Every color inkjet printer I've ever had seems
to self destruct about the same time the intro
ink runs out. The rollers or lifters fails, it gets
smeary, etc. And It always happens RIGHT AFTER I
buy the replacement ink cartrides for $50 (color
and black).

So this time, I'v just bought a Canon S400, rear feed, $80.
In 8 months the ink will run out. And I'll buy a new
printer instead of replacing the ink.
New I wonder how you treat it.
I recently sold my HP Deskjet 560C because I'd upgraded to a Canon BJC-6000. The Deskjet never skipped a beat in all the years I had it. AFAIK, it's still going strong.

My '6000 is also fine. I'm partway through the third black tank now and just into the second lot of colour tanks. I was just wondering when to replace the heads, actually. It's only ick is that it has trouble picking up the paper in high-humidity, but so do many printers.

Wade.

New Treat it!?!?!?
I have a 12 year old son and a 9 year old daughter.
It is attached to the computer they use.
That should tell you enough.
New Ah. 'nuff said.

And if someone can find a cure for it a lot of the other problems will diminish.
