New Advantax cart reader for the PC
The Kodak Advantaz, we have a camera, and someone told me about a reader for the PC that virtually turns the Advantage camera into a digital one. It basically can read the Advantax rolls and display the pictures and turn them into any graphics format or print them out. Is this true, if so, where can one be bought from and for how much?

The cost of developing an Advantax picture is almost twice as much as 35MM film. It would cost less to get a reader and a better photo quality printer to print out the pictures than to keep on paying the development fees.

New and improved, Chicken Delvits!]
New It's Kodak's APS brand name
for both camera & film. And it's Advantix.

In any case you have to pay to have the film developed.

Once the film is developed, you can get a film scanner that can scan a whole roll of APS film at a time at 2800 - 4000 dpi, but typically they're not cheap (the Nikon Coolscans with APS adapters are probably about $800; some of the cheaper film scanners require you to hand advance every frame).

Or, you can have Kodak create a PictureCD or another photo finisher create floppies or CD-ROMs.

So if you take a lot of pictures & don't print most of them, buying a digital camera is A LOT cheaper than film.
