Lindows offer targets schools

They offer $500USD for unlimited users of Lindows to schools. It normally costs $129USD for a single copy of Lindows. Makes me wonder why when Linux + WINE can be downloaded for free?

Is there something special about Lindows that makes it stand out over Red Hat, Debian, etc?
