You can set up your own certificate authority and generate your own certs. I've just finished doing this. What platform(s)?

Actually, it's for digitally signing Adobe Acrobat files.
We're using WinXP Workstation and Win2k Server. As a side note, we may just go with self-signing - Adobe doesn't work with any of the default certificate providers, and hence, the only way to validate a commercial certificate is to have a plug-in added by the issuing authority. This is a problem because we want people outside of our agency to be able to view our documents and verify their veracity without having to install anything beyond Acrobat.
Any deity worthy of a graven image can cobble up a working universe complete with fake fossils in under a week - hey, if you're not omnipotent, there's no real point in being a god. But to start with a big ball of elementary particles and end up with the duckbill platypus without constant twiddling requires a degree of subtlety and the ability to Think Things Through: exactly the qualities I'm looking for when I'm shopping for a Supreme Being.

I can't believe that this is true - have you investigated the Adobe website completely? My Acrobat references are at work but I'll check into it in the morning.
