"Total Information Awareness" is of course just one side of the coin. "Total Information Control" is the other:

No longer. But then, businesses cutting back didn't exactly jibe with the White House's recent declarations that prosperity is right around the corner. //

New Just saw Bush on CNN this AM
I can't remember his exact words but the gist of it was something like, "The economy is on track because of my tax cuts. Now I want to focus on economic stimulus and job creation. And more tax cuts. But the economy is in good shape. Really."
Why should we ask our military to die for cheap oil when the rest of us aren't even being asked to get better mileage?

Whats another 6.6 million among friends...just to keep track of a number thats already being tracked.

Sounds like money well spent...especially at the expense of minor details like real jobs and training programs.

during Clinton years?

And, how hard is it to gather press releases with the work "layoff" in it? Is it really worth that much?

And you're right...how hard is it to figure that out from press releases? Unemployment is tracked, job losses and job creation are tracked. This was just another way of tracking a number thats tracked several other ways.

Question...did it add 6.6million in value...was it worth taking that much away from training and education?
