those that grab them. Must confess too that I only got to matriculate because the military gave me every opportunity & every bit of support I could have dreamed of. They even allowed me to take a years leave of absence to do an intensive at acivillian tech institute that ultimately got me into officers training scholl & air defence role.

But I am very grateful I never went to Nam as it would have been to traumatic for the likes of me to witness civvies being 'wasted' & unpopular officers being fragged (a not uncommon practice towards the end of the war), while grunts spent their spare time sucking on weed sticks while listening to rhe 'psychadelic music' of the time.
