New Brandiot strikes again
So should only those at risk (active duty & reserve military) decide when we go to war?

Hmmmm, somehow I don't think it's better that way.

Tony
New I dont think he means that
With an All volunteer army that the smurfs look down upon carrying the full load of these actions have a true crosscut of America at risk the youtes of America with mam nad da wondering if they will be safe. No Student loans without yer stint would eliminate the worse of the exemptions and would also get the great unwashed into trade school learning something other than self esteem and unemployment.
thanx,

You think that you can trust the government to look after your rights? ask an Indian
New He can type, but he can't read.
Then again, he might be a one-fingered typist.

So should only those at risk (active duty & reserve military) decide when we go to war?
I believe I used the words "you and your's" in my post.

Killing people is serious business.

Ordering the killing of people is serious business.

Ordering other people to risk their lives to kill people is serious business.

It's a lot easier to do when you and your's are not in any risk whatsoever.

Once the possibility that you and your's might be one of those being ordered to risk your life to kill people, the concept becomes concrete.

No, not "only those at risk ... [should] decide when we go to war".

But, those deciding when we should go to war, should also be at risk in it.
