Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Snobbian Snobs... I'd like to know...
How to mirror:
security.debian.org

evidently rsync is out of the question...
http requests get re-directed to www.debian.org...
ftp get refused...

How then do I make a personal mirror of it?

Incomplete URL, mayhap?

rick@guido:~$ wget -O - http://security.debian.org/dists/ | lynx -stdin -dump

New Well, well, well! Looks like...
syncing of R is back in service as of yesterday...

Musta been partly due to the fire at utwentie causing the outage of rsync. Or maybe someone just fergot to set it up and the Holidays were there and they had some time...

So, now it was just a matter of making my script being able to take parameters...

Three debian archives mirrored...

archive.progeny.com:debian/
source.rfc822.org:debian-non-US/
security.debian.org:dists/

doing nightly syncs now... instead of checking timestamps in the trace files. Wow... a whole 3 minutes and everything is up-to-date! that is if nothing changed... ;)

BTW, all I am going to be having a 1.5Mbit SDSL pipe here shortly... you all now what that means...
