Another year older... not sure about wiser.
Started the morning off with my wife playing "Touch of grey" (Greatful Dead) instead of the alarm clock, just before releasing the dogs to jump on the bed. Very rude, but I'm sure that I'm loved. I have a theory that only birthdays that are divisible by 5 (maybe 10) are *really* traumatic. This on shouldn't be traumatic... still on the low numbers for fifth decade. Only lost one friend in the past year, but another just had a double mastectomy, and my wife's boss/friend has been diagosed as terminal. I think I've got the holiday blues, don't care what G.Carlin has to say about it. Probably not a good idea to take any morbid posts from me to seriously. Of course the intelligent thing would be for me not to post until I loosen up a little. (I'll probably continue to lurk as I seem to have a plasma dot addiction...) I hope to see you all around next year. Have a great end of year celebration.
Best regards, Hugh

Happy birthday, Hugh!
Consider the alternative to not getting older. :) Well, actually you are considering and hence a bit down.
I've had some grey hairs since age 18 and what's left is now white! So cheer up, it could be worse!

Nice to see the LRPD addiction...
... I think.

Happy birthday
I'm sure that you are loved as well. And continue to lurk - it is good to be reminded that there are friendly people out there. (Hopefully you consider us friendly people on the whole..)

Happy Birthday
And to the rest of you - a very merry un-birthday! (Sorry, I just got Alice in Wonderland for my kid - its rather disturbing how many of the household's "in" jokes are now quotes from kids movies).
Low 50's. Funny, you don't read a day over 35. :-P
