[link|http://www.sbs.com.au/movieshow/reviews.php3?id=1032|The Movie Show] on [link|http://www.sbs.com.au/|SBS] reviewed this last night. I haven't seen it yet, but I did love Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away is now on the top of my "Must See" list.
The review I linked to is a transcript of David Stratton. It omits a paragraph at the start about how the movie made millions in box-office presales before it even opened, and it omits the discussion afterwards where Margaret Pomeranz waxes fairly enthusiastically about the enormously high quality of the animation. Neither of them actually came outright and said it, but they clearly wanted to say "This is a film Hollywood would never do - and it is so much the better for that fact".
