Was at lunch with the SA of a client of mine this afternoon. This client recently purchased a new AS/400 and hired a handful of RPG types. The CIO had one of them spending the day on an app. The app's function? Well, I don't know anything about the mechanics of this but the RPG (or ILE?) program somehow launches a copy of Notepad.exe that was copied up to a share on one of their Netware servers. This allows someone running the terminal screen (Client Access) to push a function key and have an instance of notepad run on the client's PC. Note: the client PC's are all running Win2K or WinXP.
We need an award for this ;-)
