My favorite scene
is when Yul Brynner tells him to bring back a bad guy. So he and Robert Vaughn go up a hill, see a baddie riding off on the horizon, and Coburn pulls his pistol and takes aim.
(paraphrasing)
Vaughn: "You can't be serious" (looking flabbergasted)
Coburn: (takes one shot; cut to seeing man fall off horse)
Vaughn: "That was the most incredible shot I've ever seen in my life!"
Coburn: (looking totally disgusted) "THAT WAS THE WORST! I WAS AIMING FOR THE HORSE!"

I preferred "Shichinin-no samurai..."
Admittedly, I've never seen "The Magnificent Seven," but somehow I have a feeling I'd be dissapointed.

Oh, c'mon, inthane...
...check it out. Just remember, it's not culture, its simply good, clean, campy, fun.

Well, maybe...
Gotta get my other films out of the way first:
LotR:FotR extended version [link|http://us.imdb.com/Title?0046806|Bridges at Toko-Ri] [link|http://us.imdb.com/Title?0075784|A Bridge Too Far] And, of course, I need to rewatch [link|http://us.imdb.com/Title?0185906|Band of Brothers] again.
I think by then I'll be ready for "fun" again. :)

You KNEW there would be a nit.
It wasn't Vaughn doing the reaction to the shot; it was the kid. Horst whats-his-name.
