New Should taxpayers pay the nut on Sen. Wellstones funeral?
[link|http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=29482|http://www.worldnetd...?ARTICLE_ID=29482]
A memorial service for the late Sen. Paul Wellstone, that some say more closely resembled a political rally, has raised questions as to whether or not taxpayers should be reimbursed for the cost of flying a large delegation of mostly Democratic congressmen, senators and their spouses and staffs from Washington, D.C., to Minnesota aboard U.S. Air Force jets, according to a report in Insight magazine.
According to Pentagon sources, the Air Force supplied two C-32 aircraft, the military equivalent of the Boeing 757, and one C-9, the military equivalent of a McDonnell Douglas DC-9.

now I dont have a problem with that as the folks would fly commercial and bill us anyway at least it was safer. I think it is better to pay for it without comment and hope the favor might be returned when a repo sen has a similar accident.
the hoorah at the funeral was unseemly but any state that elected Jesse as governor can shrug it off.

Yeah, how likely you think *that* is? (We all know the liberal media controls the minds of the average sheep.) [irony]
New Shrug it off..
the hoorah at the funeral was unseemly but any state that elected Jesse as governor can shrug it off.

According to both TV and radio polls, close to 75% feel that the "memorial" was really a political rally.

And Jesse and wife left, disgusted, half way through the proceedings. Jesse is so "pissed off" that he has threatened to "appoint a citizen" to fulfill Wellstone's remaining time in office. (Neither a Demo, nor a Repo).

New Re: Shrug it off..
Jesse should appoint himself as the custodial Senator. He is a lame duck as governor, and his presence in Washington would serve to shake up the status quo (which I believe would be a Good Thing).
