If country X has 100,000 people and
country Y has 100,100,000 people

if ten people are killed in country X
it is exactly the same as if ten people
are killed in country Y

it is true that the population of X
declines by a greater percentage than
that of Y in the above example

but

any other way of looking at leads to the
fallacy or saying that one Iraqi is equal to
12 Americans or whatever gruesome comparison
