Other than Moral support for him... no.
I'd be down there in 8 hours if he needed me.
But, he has resisted every attempt so far...

Don't believe me when I say...
I wouldn't fall all-over myself trying to help him out...
'cause I would... [link|/forums/render/user?username=orion|orion] is a great guy and has alot of talent... just a bit misguided, at this point.
I want him succeed... really I do... REALLY.
Tell him I think about him everyday... at least 3 - 4 times an hour lately... wondering...
Wife has asked about him 3-4 times a day now too... she knows... being married to me *AND* being a redhead...

Yes...
Tell him he was doing well... and that I, at least, understand a little backsliding.
I don't think anyone here wishes him ill, but if he's too shaky to handle this place for a while, I'll understand his taking a 'breather'. This place can get a bit 'intense' - and I'm not sure if he needs that right now, anyway.
Give him my best wishes - and - he has my email.

Without going into details I know about backsliding.
I don't know about his particular backsliding. If that is the case. I just know myself, and I know it can be hell. It can be hell to ask for help. It can be hell to be in the pits of depression without anyone there. It can be hell to just tell someone about it, or to reach out and accept the helping hand.
Hell, humiliating (one thinks) until you take the hand of someone who has been through the same hell you've been through. And lived through it.
I have different problems nowdays but they aren't quite so hellish. Possible minor stroke? hah. That's nothing.
The lawyers would mostly rather be what they are than get out of the way even if the cost was Hammerfall. - Jerry Pournelle
