WinXP support training course recommendations -- Western US
I've run across [link|http://www.minasi.com/xpsupport.htm|Mark Minasi's WinXP Pro Support] course, and am moderately impressed by the description. Problem: locations are all Denver & east through the 1st of the year. \r\n\r\n Anyone have recommendations for worthwhile XP training, content should approximate Minasi's, closer to the SF Bay Area? Major coverage should include: \r\n\r\n \r\n- Networking
\r\n- User Settings
\r\n- Apps Control & Policies
\r\n- Remote control/admin
\r\n- Tuning & Monitoring
\r\n- Failure recovery (now where did I put those Debian disks?)
\r\n- VPN
\r\n \r\n\r\n ...so, training experiences, gems or stinkers... Let me know. Or better -- post 'em here. \r\n\r\n Ben, I do expect you'll have something to say on this....

Are your links intentionally messed up?
Or is that one of the bugs that Scott was looking for feedback on?
As for the topic, why would I know anything useful about XP courses in California? I am not in California. I haven't had to use XP. Sounds pretty much like a blank.
But if I was pushed, [link|mailto:tye@metronet.com|Tye] has always struck me as exceptionally skilled, and has admitted to taking a few courses on Windows. Plus he lives somewhere in California. (Should the email address fail, get an account on Perlmonks and ask [link|http://www.perlmonks.org/index.pl?node_id=22609|this guy] for details. Tell him that I sent you and he may or may not be properly amazed. :-)
Cheers, Ben

Is the fix only effective going forward?
Because Karsten's link still looks borked.

Errrr...
His post above has been fixed... unless you are seeing something else, perhaps? What do you have your link conversion format set to?

Perhaps I am looking at a different problem?
His link to Mark Minasi's course is a link back to his own post.
Still.
Cheers, Ben

That would be because...
... Mr. Self (no, not this self) forgot to actually enter something for the 'href' of that link... ;-)

Hate to say it
But Microsoft's training materials are really good.
The most comprehensive materials are the [link|http://www.microsoft.com/MSPress/books/5398.asp|MCSE Training Kit] books.
If you buy this and read it, you'll be well prepared for Windows XP.
