Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Some New Features:
1) 'Convert Newlines To BR' user preference

2) 'Link Display Format' user preference - governs link targets

3) Automatic URL conversion in posts (with a user preference to control this)

3a) Some support for 'izCodes' (*snicker*):
user ://somename [link|/forums/render/user?username=admin|admin]
post ://post# [link|/forums/render/content/show?contentid=52261|Post #52261]

These don't use [] around them (yet). No user preference for turning this off yet either, sorry.

Post bugs here, please! Thanks.
Regards,

-scott anderson

New /me is happy that...
runs really fast because nobody else can use it is no longer on your feature list! :-)

Cheers,
Ben

New Need feedback on:
Location of the "Convert Newlines To BR" checkbox.

I kept confusing it with the Preview box (bad) when it was on the bottom... but I'm not sure I like it at the top.

Edit:

OK, I've left it on the bottom on the 'edit post' screen, and on the top for the 'new post' screen. See which you like better.

New Where I would put it...
I would add it beside the quote and change buttons. With the expectation that more options will be added some day. :-)

Cheers,
Ben

New Yeah, I was afraid you'd say that.
It's part of an automatic form generator right now. Putting it down there means I have to write some actual code... ;-)

New Heh
Feature suggestion. Recognize mailto: links. But make it rendered as a [link|http://www.bagley.org/~doug/elisp/hairy.shtml|hairy email address] so that spammers can't pick it up. :-)
