Ooh, time to do a search page
Do you have PHP on the server? If so, I should be able to put together a quick-and-dirty search page pretty quickly. Hmm, since I won't be able to do interactive testing and tuning, I think at first I'll just allow searching by Subject and User. I don't want to try to search into the comments and kill response time.
