I too lost a (half) brother to alcohol (though with him, as in most every case: for all the Reasons which led him to seek Something as an escape from __ and __ and __). I can verify certain of the 'symptoms' mentioned,though not those of the "recovered" aftermath. He didn't.

While the author is obviously biased against Bush, his present power and how he is managing it (as am I) -- I'd like to see his presented list of characteristics examined by someone less fixated on the Man.

There might be a lot to it - Bush's attention span is questionable, since we don't really know if his inability to carry an entire sentence (like his father) is something about "public speaking" or - reflects an underlying limited organization of thoughts. To me it is scary whatever the analysis or pseudo-analysis.

But given the press Corp ownership and all precedents: fat chance that these points shall be made except as politico-babble repartee. Perhaps to our overall tragedy.

(He'd *never* resign and the above is too near the gray area of pseudo-science)
