New realpolitik newspeak and the middle east

Oh, the bad guys were whining that their protection isnt good enough.

Now the rest of the world wants Israel to negotiate with these folks? Why?

Isreal has three choices. The can finish the process of becoming what they hate and eliminate the Palestinians. Or they can continue to try and control the occupied territories and continue the current status quo and insure that their grandkids will still be trying to deal with the violence. Or they can negotiate with Arafat.

Those are Isreal's only 3 choices. I'll admit that dealing with Arafat isn't a real pleasant idea, but at some point the other alternative look even worse.

New Re: realpolitik newspeak and the middle east
If Israel takes the third choice and deals with Arafat, then they're left with two choices: They can finish the process of becoming what they hate and eliminate the Palestinians, or they can try to control what's left of their land and continue the current status quo and ensure that their grandkids will still be trying to deal with the violence, if they last long enough to have grandkids.

That is, unless a miracle happens and some middle ground is found.

New God's promise of Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates.
In verse 18 of Genesis 15, we read, "In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates."
The Palestinians are, of course, the children of Abraham. :)

Nice to see them cooperating. Could that hungry hungry backhoe in Ramallah have had anything to do with it?
