"Israel Radio director Amnon Nadav received threats on his life by fax and by phone yesterday, warning he would be killed if he does not fire veteran journalist Uri Dan from his position as a guest interviewer.
Dan, who is a close confidant of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, recently added a second two-hour shift on Thursdays to his regular Tuesday duties at Israel Radio.
"If you don't get rid of Uri Dan, you better get a bodyguard immediately," the fax said.
In an interview with Army Radio, Nadav did not rule out that Israel Radio journalists were involved in the threats."
