New Making a Win95 system disk.
How doth one go about making a Win95 boot disk that will recognize a CD drive? I need to install Win95 to a blank partition but the Win95 installation CD isn't bootable.
New Re: Making a Win95 system disk.
two methods:

1) (harder than 2) set up an autoexec.bat and config.sys file on your boot floppy that have the DOS drivers for your CD (if you can find them)

2) use a Win98 startup disk and start w/ CD support and then put in Win95 CD and run setup

New try here
First make a bootable floppy (format with system files) then try this spot and copy the "[link|http://www.fortunecity.com/skyscraper/cyrix/1307/trouble.html|"ultimate boot floppy"]

That looks exceptionally groovy. </Austin Powers>

I'll try it when I gets home. Thanks.

I'll even go so far as to concede that today's postliterate teenagers are already sufficiently impaired by pop culture that anything that serves to make them even more scatterbrained is rather in the way of gilding the lily, and should not be encouraged.
