You know or can figure out before I know you don't know: How to configure Oracle row level security in a web app environment. How to figure out really fscked up schemas (like the "object" table and its one relationship to the "attribute" table - oy) and write migration scripts to convert to a more straight forward schema. How to set up a database for multiple locales using UTF8 and other flags as appropriate. Basic partitioning/indexing/optimization. How to set up Oracle text indexing on BFILEs that point to MSWord, PDF and plain text docs in a mixed language environment. Some French is a plus. Could lead to longer term work or you can treat it as a working vacation single migration project. You can email me info at my first initial dot last name at mrted spot com. Post #50,741 by broomberg 9/5/02 11:08:46 PM Reply	Unlikely, but: A guy I work with is a Perl/Oracle/PL-SQL programmer who is quite capable of playing DBA. The "real" dba asks him for advice. And then he asks me. And he is a MAJOR francophile. He visits Paris for at least 2 weeks a year, has weekly French lessons, has a French word of the day calendar, and is waiting for his inlaws to kick so he can inherit a bunch of money and move to Paris. I sent him your post.
