Go ahead, just keep reminding me ...
... that stuff keeps keeping me away. But this year I'll have a 3-year-old and a 7-month-old that should be due for a road trip. [/me crosses fingers]

*ALL* they have to work with, in the end, is:

Um, no.
Data out of range error at "2" on line 101.
But seriously, thatis where we start and after that the trick is abstraction. :-)

Ones *and* zeroes?
Luxury!
When I was a lad, I had to write a program only using ones. If I wanted a zero, I had to fill out a requisition, get it signed by three managers one of whom is based in Antarctica, and obtain a letter "o" from the typing pool.

You had a typing pool? Lucky!
We just had a typing puddle. And happy to have it!

We only had zeroes :(
Had to punch a hole in that paper tape to get any 1's at all. Imagine if we'd merged with Your place. We were workin on tri-state, too..

When trinary sucks
Is when your input is all trinary, but your output is expected to be binary.
As in all of your questions get answered "maybe", but you are supposed to come back with an accurate yes/no answer.
