Welcome to IWETHEY!

New The XScale is the P4 of PDA CPU's
lots of MHz, little speed.

400MHz XScale PPC PDA's run the same speed, from what I've heard, as the 206MHz SA models. The XScale might run faster if the code were specially rewritten for it (which MS won't do).

From what I've heard, the xscale's performance is cripled if the OS is using the MMU. It appears that a good chunk of the problem is Intel's fault. You can see Alan Cox's comment about it on the linux kernel list: [link|http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-kernel&m=102919271317697&w=2| [link|http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-kernel|http://marc.theaims...linux-kernel]&m=102919271317697&w=2]
