New Anyone going to Linux World San Francisco?
It'd be especially good if the mysterious Maggie could finally make it.

I'll probably be there Aug 13 with a co-worker, but there's a chance I might not be able to make it at all (due to my workload).

Tony
New not so sure about....
....mysterious. More like trying to stay employed.

I'll be in SF the week after LinuxWorld to attend a
class. But, given existing workload, it doesn't
sound like I'll be able to go this year :( I'm doing
both admin and development work so things are pretty
busy.

If you do go, please post info on anything interesting
that you see. Thanks!
New Well, what's interesting depends
on what one is interested in.

My interests are very much towards the embedded side of the computing world, while, IIRC, your experiences were more with the enterprise side.

That's actually one reason why I hope someday we'll be able to meet in person, since it's fun to find out about different areas.

I'm keeping pretty busy myself, but will probably just make time; that's what my co-worker says. Overall, our business is looking up, but we're very much in a niche market.

Tony
New interested in all/any
I do have a lot of experience on the enterprise
side, but certainly am interested too in the
embedded space. In particular, developing apps.

Do post anything you see interesting at the show
no matter the area. I think there will be a lot
of clustering related news from what I've heard.

I just took up a new job not long ago so I probably
have to pass on going this time, but there is always
next time, I guess.

New How about Picn*x11?
It's in Sunnyvale, Saturday, August 17th, just after the LinuxWorld Conference and Expo. 11 am - 6pm. I've got an overlap with a company function, but plan to attend late afternoon. For those who can't get work time to head to LWE, this might be a good alternate. And it's family-friendly.
