South side may be rough but unless there is more that hasn't been explained
it is hasty to claim it was the rough justice portrayed.

Am willing to bet that the true story will emerge that the driver - marginally
inebriated, made a bad judgement either by way of the turn or lights or gaining
on another vehicle & the bystanders appalled at the carnage, lost control &
attacked the occupants of the offending vehicle in a reaction to what was
perceived as their bad behaviour and the slaughter of the young victims.

I don't in anyway condone mob justice but this story stinks.

The driver was drunk according to toxicology tests. 7 people charged with murder for the beatings are gang members. As many as 20 people are reported to have been involved in the attack.
