New Where to get inkjet refills?
Quote:

While I agree that it's a great way to hit them back in their pocketbook, aren't most inkjet printers these days designed to work ONLY with the manufacturer's brand of refill cartridge? I've given up on trying to find any retail store that carries quality replacement cartridges for my 932 made by somebody other than HP.

New Refill kits
I've had mixed luck - good luck with black, bad luck with color. The color refill turned out to be very messy and it was very difficult to get one of the chambers full (the yellow died in only a couple of weeks). The black cartridges that I've filled worked pretty well. The only downside I saw was that it "dried up" much quicker (lasted ~half as long) than a new cartridge. But the economics still work out in your favor.

Okay, the above was a long-winded way of saying that I recommend refilling black. The color cartridges may be different. They weren't worth the hassle for me. YMMV.

New I tried a refill kit
followed directions to the letter. Ended up with a black stain on my floor. Tried it again, didn't leak at first, so I put it into the 694C printer, then it leaked all over the inside of the printer. I'm lucky it didn't short anything out. I won't be buying a refill kit anytime soon.

I am free now, to choose my own destiny.
New Tried one once.
I only tried the black on my 560C. It was a fiddly process and I didn't go through that much ink for it to be worthwhile.

Next printer purchase was carefully selected on value-for-money of brand-name ink cartridges. Canon BJC-6000.

New Recycled?
Companies such as [link|http://www.printer-ink-cartridge.com/|this] offer recycled (they list it as remanufactured) cartridges.

I've also used ink refills. Refills on my Cannon tanks work a couple times before I need new tanks. There's a sponge in the tank's outlet that would get too compressed to function after a few refills.
