I'm not so sure about how much of their viewpoint is "rancher", though: At least he has a background as a writer or reporter in (national?) mainstream media, I think somewhere up Northeast -- he talked (or wrote somewhere?) about how he'd adopted a "standard" accent to conceal his "redneck" origins.

She's sweet and she's kind and she's never insulting. She always ends with: It's just a thought As if she's used to arguing with idiots and she knows that they discount 99% of what that she says and she always ends with the possibility that she's full of shit. Just to keep them happy in their default sexist demeaning of women who talk. And her syrupy sweet Southern accent is wonderful.
