Why are you making life so complicated?

It's nothing more than a couple rectangles on a couple of floors in a rectangle house. It's very small and each floor is 700 square feet and that includes a full kitchen on each floor.

The top floor is simply split into my bedroom, a bathroom and the rest of the house in one rectangular room. The kitchen is one corner of that room but can extend to half of it and will when I'm done.

Me sitting in my chair looking at my big screen is 5 ft away from the start of the kitchen space to my left and behind me.

All lights have to be controllable 100% from my seated position and at the entrance of the room. Why? Because my wife will leave something on.

Everything else is secondary to that design decision. Be able to turn any light off in the house when I'm sitting at my spot so I don't have to jump up and run around and turn off lights all the time.

I'm not doing this to save money, I'm doing it to cut the glare in my eyes as no matter what, no matter how soft, light in the corner of my eye when I'm looking at the projector screen drives me insane.

And then I get all the spinny buttons and turn stuff on and do everything else that I want. That's all just nice side effects.

I decide what I want and I decide what achieves it and then I say it's good enough. Then I simplify and make it pretty. That button is as simple as it gets. When I start doing the woodwork things will be pretty. Complex? You should see my air flow vortex in my grow room. 68° on the bud top even though there's about 2,500 w shining on them in a 10x10 area.
