I'm starting with a device that has certain functionality and I'm playing with it. I am going to stick with supported wherever possible and I have no idea how policies and permissions would affect me as a single end user who's not coding.

Just think of me as a tool using monkey. I say that as I'm running up and down the ladder and using various tools to hang stuff. Except a couple days ago, I sliced both my thumbs so it's a combination of Newskin and Band-Aids and blood. Monkeys are worthless without thumbs.
